What the Charter means
Led by HM Treasury, the Women in Finance Charter, is designed to drive gender balance at every level of the financial services industry. With more than 400 signatories representing over 1.3 million employees, the Charter is creating a fairer, more inclusive sector.
By signing we pledge to:
- Appoint a senior executive accountable for gender inclusion
- Set and publish a target for women in senior roles
- Report publicly on our progress each year
- Link executive pay to achieving these targets
Our commitment
We believe in Team HTB. We know we’re stronger together, which is why we’re committed to investing in, supporting and empowering all our employees.
This commitment to our people naturally extends to the way we shape and measure diversity within senior leadership.
Our senior leadership gender target builds on progress we’ve made through our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda and our Gender Pay Gap actions.
HTB signed the Women in Finance Charter on September 30. 2025, setting a target of 31% of senior managers to be women. Through our ongoing EDI agenda, we’re cultivating an inclusive culture across HTB and strengthening the development of the next generation of diverse senior leaders. We look forward to reporting our progress in September 2026.
